How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2060923 / WR2X9391 Light Socket

Ordered a new socket which came quickly and was correct. The video was close to my situation. Installation started well but the new one didn't snap in as it should. I suspect operator error but it's now working satisfactorily. 

AppliancePartsPros.com had the light socket. The video was helpful but not accurate for the model I own However, it gave enough guidance that I was able to figure it. out. What I thought was going to take hours took only 15 min. Thank you for the part and the guidance. Joe 

Replaced socket. 30 seconds to fix.

I bought a replacement light socket 

I identified the Fridge model number (GE, TBX18SPE) from the tag inside the Fridge, then used the parts diagrams and list on Appliance Parts Pro website to identify and order the correct light socket. The part arrived in about two days, and was as advertised. Installation was very easy. First I checked the hole where the light goes, found the light wire plug, pulled the light plug out of the hole a little bit, mated the light plug to the new socket, then inserted the socket into the hole until the retention tab snapped into place. I installed a new appliance light bulb and was done. The light works great now. 

I found the parts online after only about 3 minutes looking. The parts shipped extremely fast and when they arrived it only took about 10 minutes to install them into the fridge. 

Recieved part within 2 days. Removed old socket and replaced with new. Plug-in, no tools required
