I removed the broken light socket and disconnected it from the electric terminal. I ordered a new light socket. There was no model number on the old one so I searched with the model number of my Hotpoint refrigerator. I quickly found the part. When it arrived a few days later I connected it to the terminal and reinserted it. It works perfectly.
