How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4510147 / WB20K10027 Temperature Sensor

The temperature sensor was faulty. The only tricky part was feeding the new temperature sensor connector through hole from the interior of the stove to the back of the stove. I ended up inserting a screwdriver through the hole from the rear of the stove and using it as a pilot.

The diagrams provided by AppliancePartsPros.com were very helpful. The ordering process was easy and the parts were shipped within a day and arrived within a few days. 

New temp sensor solved problem 

Replaced the faulty sensor 

Replaced the temperature sensor. It's a little better, but I ordered a new igniter and I believe between the 2 parts that should take care if the problem. Repair took 10 minutes, but spent 60 minutes cleaning sides of stove and surrounding area which hadn't seen the light of day for 10 years 

Replaced 

The 1st part I received was packaged wrong. It was the correct part number but a wrong part was in the package. I took a picture of the part received and the old part and Krystal immediately saw it was the wrong part. She sent the correct part and I had it the next day! Wonderful customer service! 

Searched the Internet. The website suggested to replace the Temperature Sensor. Looked up the Model Number and from the part on "AppliancePartsPros.Com. The website had a picture of the part I needed and full instructions on how to replace it. Part arrived in a couple of days and was exactly what was needed. The oven works great. It reaches the indicated temperature. 

The result is perfect. Just followed the instruction video. Had to pull the stove out, and unscrew 2-3 screws, in order to reach the wire plug inside the back panel. Unplugging the old sensor wire took some trial and effort with the help of a flashlight and a plires. Plugging in the new one was easy. After replacing the new sensor, had to screw the 2-3 screws back, and push the stove in. Also had to re-level it because my tile floor is not even.
