How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3995255 / WH11X10049 Timer Dial

Replaced timer assembly, very easy after viewing video on site. 

Used needle nose pliers to remove the clip on the timer knob and to remove the broken center part of the timer dial installed the new timer dial, timer knob and clip 

Put the new parts on-so easy

I ordered a new Control Knob, Timer Dial and Rotary Switch and installed all three as instructed since the little plastic teeth on both the knob and the rotary switch were worn to the point of not fully engaging, as they should. The video of the repair provided was a great assist in that it actually showed each step of the repair process. It was a very simple, easy and quick repair and by doing it myself I'm sure it was faster and I saved a bundle by not having to wait for a repair person to order the parts and then, upon their arrival, perform the task. The washer now operates as it did, when brand new with no problems, at all, with either the repair or, now its performance.
