How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3995101 / WE4M370 Dryer Timer

Replaced timer. It was frustrating not to be able to order a new part just by using numbers printed on the original timer's label. However, AppliancePartsPros website guided me to the proper part number based upon my dryer's model number. Once I had this part number, I found that I could buy it for less from other sources. I decided to buy it from AppliancePartsPros because of their "how to" videos and their guide to find the proper replacement part number. (I was willing to pay for their intellectual property). 

Replaced timer. Easy job, took about 20 minutes. Dryer now works great. 

Replaced timer in 10 minutes, all was fine afterwards. I received the correct part in only a few days and the dryer was not shrinking my cotton tees anymore after drying too long without the time ever shutting off. 

We noticed a change in the clicks of the knob setting the timer. Then the dryer wouldn't start. Put in the new timer following the easy instructions found on this site and everything works!
