How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5632405 / WE4M527 Dryer Timer Control

Removed faceplate, wires and replaced correctely. Reattached faceplate. 

I found my part number on my dryer. I found a timer and verified that it would match my dryer model. I ordered it on a Sunday with standard shipping and it arrived only 2 days later on tuesday. Outstanding. I took one wire out at a time from the old timer to the new so I wouldn't get mixed up. In about 5 minutes I had a new timer and didn't have to use pliers anymore. 

I ordered a new timer, and replaced it myself. It was a little intimidating at first what with all the wires I had to deal with, but before I disconnected the wires, I drew a diagram of all the connections and wrote by them the color wire that went to it. There was only one screw that I had to remove and then it was a piece of cake to install the new timer and reconnect the wires. 

Ordered parts from AppliancePartsPros checked out a how to video on line so there wouldn't be any surprises. Then did the repair, went easily and took about 30 minutes start to finish. 

I ordered a new timer and knob at a reasonable price.they arrived a day ahead of time.i removed back panel off dryer,removed old timer installed new one.all together and running like new in 10-15 mins.very simple fix
