Lambert, This issue will most likely be caused by a faulty cycling thermostat located on the blower housing of the dryer.

Hello Sal, the Beige wire still goes on dryer timer terminal C, you will need to splice the wires together to get one terminal or purchase locally a 2 to 1 terminal adapter, the timer part is correct, the manufacturer has changed the wire attachment terminals on the new service replacement timer.

Ed for Model Number GE DPSR610EGWT

The plastic knob stem on the dryer timer has worn and the knob will not turn it. I have received the replacement timer, WE4M527. Dryer model is GE DPSR610EGWT bought in 2009. My original timer has 2 prongs for attachment at terminal C with two separate brown wire with connectors. There is not enough space to fit both connectors on one prong. I notice other wiring comments address a double brown wire connected to terminal C. Do my two separate brown wires need to now be joined on one connector? I assume on later models that they were.

Rick, if the dryer will work in the timed dry cycle but not advance during any of the automatic cycles, the failure would likely be in the PC board WE04X10103.

Brian, Check the venting of the unit as it may be clogged and not allowing the moisture to escape which would cause this issue.

Ed, the brown wire going to the push to start button will go to terminal C, the red wire to terminal B, the orange (or orange with black stripe) wire going to the temperature selector will go to terminal A, pink wire to terminal H, white wire to terminal T, black wire from the buzzer to terminal S, yellow wire to terminal X, and the wires from the timer motor would not be moved from the terminals that they are set on from manufacturing.

Artie, Thanks for the question!!! It is most likely the centrifugal switch on the motor WE17X22217. You can test it for continuity when it is engaged.

Dennis, You may have a piggyback connector on the original timer for the two wires. It should come off with both wires attached and install on the new part.
