I would have liked to replace the hub, but it isn't sold without it being part of an assembly. Anyway, replaced these items and I am still checking it to make sure that there are no issues with the hub nut coming loose again. Gregory J Santa Barbara , CA July 26, 2015 Noisy washer during agitation I replaced the transmission. This required pretty much dissembling all the large parts of the machine. The repair was pretty straightforward-except- I was unable to remove the hub nut. I wasted too much time and energy and liquid wrench etc trying to get it off and in the end cut it off with a dremel and replaced it. If you're machine is old like mine, I would just count on replacing that part. Otherwise the repair went fine. I also took the opportunity to thoroughly clean the basket and tub. Read More...
