How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4591438 / 0CZZJB2014L Start Capacitor

Capacitor 

Replaced ice maker fan - Did not fix the IR code. Replaced defrost sensor, Main Pcb assembly and capacitor because I would be in that area changing the Pcb. Everything works like new. The Main Pcb most likely fixed all problems but the defrost sensor and capacitor were cheap and I didn't want to take anything to chance. So far all is working again - $150 for repair parts vs $2500 for new refrigerator. ?? The Pcb and capacitor took 15 min to replace, easy access on back of refrigerator. The defrost sensor took about an hour because the freezer drawer and slides rails have to come off to get the back wall of freezer out. 

Found the part at appliance parts pros -- received it installed it. 

Checked the compressor capacitor and it was bad. I replaced it and the relay and protection switch just because the unit is around 12 years old. The unit is now running like new. 

I only needed the Compressor Start Relay. After watching the video and doing the repair it took about 15 mins. 

I replaced the circuit board assembly due to prior experience with the light issue of staying on all the time. I decided to also replace the compressor capacitor keeping the original for backup.
