Garret, If your compressor is running then you will need to check the evaporator in the freezer behind the rear panel. If there is no frost on the evaporator then you have a sealed system issue and a licensed refrigeration tech is suggested to fix the problem.

Lg refrigerator move from one house another. Was unplugged for about 4 hours. Always in upright position. Plugged it in it seem to have started working. Later that night we went to put something in the freeze stuff was thawed and fridge was not cooling. Open the doors and shut them sound like the seal was working. then I could here what sounded like the compressor trying to engage for about 3 seconds and stop. If it is start relay what other items do you recommend replacing with it.

Derald, If the compressor is trying to start but will not then the overload and start relay would be the parts that you would want to replace.

Mark, For this issue the cause for the light to not come on would be a faulty control board. The main control board has a capacitor that is bad and will need to replace the main board.

Thomas, It sounds like the unit will be in a demo mode and to take out of demo mode you will 1. Open both the refrigerator and freezer doors. 2. Push in both door switches and at the same time press and hold the Temperature Adjust button for 5 seconds.

George, You will want to check the connection point at the top of the refrigerator to ensure that there is no loose or damaged wire at that point. If there is on the door side then the door itself would have to be replaced.
