How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP6835934 / 5230W1A011E Charcoal Filter

Careful placement of new screws into the inside of the outer door that now hold the frame assembly to the door secured the frame assembly to the outer door. All of the other parts I bought and replaced were a waste of money. I figured since I had them I might as well install them anyways. Easier than sending them back since I had the whole thing apart anyways. The part I really needed was no longer available, the outside door. The glass reinstalled into the retainers in the door without a problem. At least everything is very clean now !! 

We just popped the replacement parts in. By the way, Sears that sells the Kenmore, the make of our microwave, didn't have the parts we needed online. I was very pleased with my Chat experience with RobinC from your website. She located the parts I needed and even arranged the payment. Great service! 

When using "Timer" function turned on unit to cook,empty by mistake! Removed over range unit, and removed cover. Magnetron had pieces of permanent magnet hanging on outside. Ordered parts Received parts (2days) Replaced parts and we have our microwave back, Very simple! About 15min. to fix and 1/2hr. to clean inside unit. 

I use a flat screwdriver to push black release tabs from door hinges. 

Very easy fix - simply removed the two screws holding the old vent grille in place, slotted in the new vent grille, replaced screws and tightened. Done in two minutes. 

Microwave's old grill removed by unfastening two screws. Since the space was open, also replaced the charcoal filter. Put the new grill on, fastened the two screws and presto! 

Open the microwave top, the front part and change the charcoal filter. 

The rep was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Helped me order my parts and I received them in 2 days. Awesome experience! 

Replaced the plastic latch assembly and spring. It was a very easy fix and they had all the parts in stock and arrived overnight.
