How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP6835935 / 5230W1A012E Grease Filter

Ordered new ones and replaced them. 

Replaced the grease filter. 

New filters. Shipped and received within 24 hours. WOW 

Removed broken grill vent by sliding to the left. Replaced with new grill by lining up the tabs into the slots and sliding to the right. 

My grease filters and charcoal filter on my Kenmore above range microwave haven’t been changed in years. Appliance Parts Pros are the only place I found the parts. I am so grateful to have found them. My microwave works great now!

I purchased replacement parts and made the repairs myself. 

The grease filters were very easy to remove and replace. I took a little time to clean the area with 409 first. When I first saw the spot on the fan cover plate, I was afraid that we would have to buy a new microwave. It had formed a teardrop of plastic that was getting larger every time we used the microwave. Replacing it only required popping of the plastic pin and its holder and pulling the cover off. I used 409 again to clean the area under it, but the fan on the new cover snapped it in place and replaced the pin holder and pin. The whole thing probably took less than five minutes. 

Shopped around for parts and found Appliancepartspros.com parts and prices were much much lower than their competitors and of the same superior quality. Their web site is easy to use and parts, manuals, model information, are easily located. Their "do it yourself" articles and videos help novices like me to perform the installation perfecto!
