How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5959515 / AEQ73130002 Ice Maker Assembly

Replaced it very easily. 

We replaced the Icemaker Assembly . 

I had been noticing that there was a little drip of ice on the metal arm of the ice maker, when I removed it ,it would make ice again until it finally stopped working. I thought it was worth the chance to buy the Ice maker assembly and put it in myself,I did and it’s working again now!

I ordered a new Ice Maker Assembly - I'd tried to clean the old unit b/c I think that our hard Arizona water created mineral "build-up" that wasn't allowing the cubes to "pop-out", but to no avail. I found the part on AppliancePartsPros.com very easily using a photo of the "ID tag" inside the fridge, watched the great "install video" that APP had in the part's webpage (to make sure I could do it), ordered the part, and then followed along with the video! New ICA started making ice after a couple of hours! 

Ordered a new unit.
