Bought new ice maker. Took number from existing ice maker and ordered an exact replacement part. The refrigerator is LG. This is the third ice maker replacement in the six or eight years since we've had this refrigerator. Naturally, I'm not impressed with LG and neither are service people I've brought out a couple of times when it quit working altogether. In this case, I knew it was an easy, but expensive, DIY fix. Symptoms were like I saw in the last two I replaced the ice maker so I took a gamble that replacing the ice maker was the fix I needed. I took a gamble that the problem was the ice maker based on past experience. Received the new part on promised date from Appliance Parts Pros and installed. Easy installation since I'd done it before. If you are confused, look for a video online. New ice maker is making ice perfectly. It should be noted that these ice makers are a bit picky about the water feed pressure. If you have a valve in your water feed line to the refrigerator, you may need to adjust it a little by trial and error to get the ice production you want. If you don't have a valve, don't worry about it. Anyway, the new ice maker works great, for now, and I've got ice again. No thanks to LG but many thanks to Appliance Parts Pros.
