How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4652640 / 6912W3B002E Microwave Light Bulb

Unplugged microwave. Took the cover off microwave 6 screws 4 Philips and 2 Torx security screws. I found bulb unplugged bulb and removed Phillips head screw holding it in place. Typed in info on bulb in google and it came up in appliance parts pro. I ordered bulb with 2 days shipping bulb arrived in 2 days. The bulb has an alignment hole so it only fits one way. Plugged in new bulb installed bulb in hole and replaced Phillips screw. Replaced cover tightened all screws, plugged microwave back in and light magically worked 

I took off the cover, removed the old lamp and installed the new lamp. Very easy. 

I have replaced one before. Unplug the microwave. The case must be removed. Must be careful to remove all case screws and do not bend or tweak the case. The bulb is located top right as you face the microwave. The bulb assembly is held in with one screw. Easy to remove. Do not touch any other part. Install the new one. Install the case. 

Disconnected microwave, removed cover and replaced bulb. It took about 10 minutes or so. On this model the cover had 2 safety screws which require a torx bit with a hole in the center. 

Took 2 screws on side & 6 on back including 2 security out pulled cover of unit extracted bulb from socket and think its an easy fix.Just need that security bit for 2 screws in the back of unit.
