How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4501410 / EBR41531302 Main Electronic Control Board

By replacing the control board. Please Allow me to briefly share this story with other people. At first i called a appliance repair company recommended by the manufacturer They charge my credit card about $350.00 in advance, They sent a tech to look at my fridge fairly quick, But then i was told that they would need 7 t0 10 business days to get the parts needed and only than could the repair be scheduled. Well well i waited 10, 15, 20 business days and the 3 times i called them to inquire about it they would tell me that the pats have not arrived yet. Got fed up and called parts pro and wthin 3 business days the problem was solved. Thanks Appliance Parts Pros. Great service, 

I went on YouTube for step by step installation on how to install main PCB in refrigerator and it work like a charm. It only took me 2 minutes to install saving me a total of 350 bucks! 

After reading many posts about LG refrigerators, I thought that I would try to replace the fuse on the printed circuit board (PCB) found in the back of the fridge. I successfully soldered off the old fuse and soldered a new one on. Sadly, however, that fix did not work. Plan B was to replace the whole PCB. I ordered the part here on appliancepartspros.com. It arrived next day, and the swap was quite easy--just a few connections to undo, and four clips to remove the old board. Reverse the process to put the new board in, and voile!, the fridge came back to life. 

Replaced the control board. Fuse (15A) tested as good but replaced the control board anyways and it solved the problem. Board may have been damaged by a power surge. Put a surge protector on the refrigerator. 

I replaced the Main Electronic Control Board and it took about 15 minutes to do it. As soon as I installed the new board, it started working right away. Everything is perfect now and I'm glad I choose Appliance Parts Pros to contact for my replacement part. 

Replaced pc board everything is working now!!!! 

I unplugged frig, tested both fuses on control board and both were fine, checked board for any hot or burned spots there were none, plugged frig back in and everything came back up and it's now been almost a week and no problems. So the new control board is still in the package and I'll wait another week before I send it back. so far an easy fix

We went online and searched for our problem using the specific model number of our refrigerator. There were many entries related to this, so it was a common problem and many of the people said to was due to a blown fuse.My husband had some electrical gadget that confirmed one of the fuses was blown. It was not obvious by looking at it. According to the online sources, We could replace the fuse, which involved soldering, which we were not comfortable with, or we could replace the whole circuit board.We searched youtube and found videos on how to replace the circuit board, which was easy, if you know how to do it. So we ordered the part and installed it and it worked. Yay 

Ordered online received the next day to my delightful surprise, had a family member install
