How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP7220429 / 4581EL2002L Roller Kit

I ordered new drum wheels for my LG dryer model and replaced them. It all works great now. 

Replaced all 4 drum rollers. I had replaced the belt, idler pulley and one roller about a year and a half ago. Should have broken down and replaced all of the rollers then. Had to go back in when two more of them failed recently. The video made the repair much easier. 

Replaced drum support rollers and while it was apart installed a new belt. Really a pretty simple process after watching a YouTube video on my particular LG model. 

Replaced dryer drum support wheel. While I was at it replaced all the support wheels, the drum belt and the idler pully. 

I found your repair video online and purchased all 4 drum rollers, tension pulley and new belt. I followed the steps on the video (very well explained) which took less than an hour. Problem solved. 

Replaced the wiring harness. Since the dryer drum needed to be removed, the the belt, tensioner pulley, and drum rollers were also replaced. 

I replaced all 4 rollers and put in new idle pulley. i ordered the part and it arrived less than 48 hrs later. I watched video attached for applianceparts pros that was very helpful 

I didn't know anything about the internal mechanics of my LG dryer so I used the schematic at appliance parts pros to understand the moving parts and likely culprit of the noise. Since the rotating drum appeared to be spinning out of balance, I became 90% sure the roller assembly had failed. I bought 1 roller for 20$ and watched the video for belt replacement so I would know how to dismantle the drum. When the roller arrived 3 days later, it took less than an hour to replace and worked perfectly. Saved a bundle over hiring a repairman. 

This was the 3rd time I disassembled the machine, so with the assistance of a video on the AppliancePartsPros.com site, it was pretty simple. I replaced all 4 drum rollers, and both felt drum seals which was the most time-consuming aspect of the rebuild, but pretty straightforward with more video assistance. Lastly, to ensure this would hopefully be the last time I would need to address the dryer for a while, I switched out the drive belt, which was easy enough with the video. BTW....the belt grooves face the drum. 

I ordered the drum rollers, dryer belt and idler pulley assembly—thank goodness! My rollers were worn through and rusty soot was everywhere! And the plastic roller on the pulley had worn through as well. Watching the video was PERFECT for this lady to have the confidence to tackle this myself. Hardest part was having enough strength to get the old roller’s off as they were on tight. I spent lots of extra time just cleaning out the insides with vacuum to get it all ship shape. It took me about 2 hours by myself but that included lots of cleaning.
