How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5595934 / EAG62831801 Refrigerator Light Socket Assembly

Replaced light assy , plastic lens, cover along with PCB (control board.) 

Replaced control board with updated design that has higher amperage refer light relay. Replaced melted fixture parts. 

I ordered new plastic parts to replace the melted ones. I also installed LED bulbs to prevent a future occurrence. 

With the advice of Appliance Parts Pros on how to replace the parts. 

So I read a number of the earlier posts regarding the required repairs and went forward with all those repairs. In short, I replaced the wiring harness, door switches, and bulbs. The problem still persisted so I went ahead and replaced the control board. That did the trick. So for my unit, LG LFX25960ST replacing all those components were required. All repairs were easy and the videos and posts are all helpful. 

Replaced board and socket assembly 

Ordered new plastic parts and a different lamp assembly with a thermostat built into it from Appliance Pro, and installed them with the help of the video provided by Appliance Pro. Repair was easy. 

Replaced main circuit board and light socket assembly 

Watched videos on appliance parts pros.com, making for an easy change-out. Instead of using a heat gun to remove the front sticker over the control panel touch pad, I used a hair dryer. Then, instead of using incandescent bulbs, I replaced them with A15 40W LED daylight bulbs. What a nice change. And they don’t heat up! 

We 1st ordered the by kit because it looked burned we install that but the light still stayed on we had to buy a new board and once we install the new board I put in Elie DE bulbs and it worked perfect
