How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4633614 / 4970WRA001G Door Latch Spring

The issue was a broken door latch. I watched a video on the site, ordered the parts, the parts came in quickly, the door is now repaired. 

I verified the model number with gal in customer service and ordered the latch and the spying. Advised it would take 3-6 days standard shipping but to my surprise, I received it the next day! With the help of a You Tube video, my son-in-law installed the parts in a few minutes. Thank you so much for your awesome customer service! 

Replaced the plastic piece that is spring loaded inside the door itself. Wife was crying for a new Microwave and we just bought this one a few years back. Good as new and cost me $10. 

Replaced the plastic latch assembly and spring. It was a very easy fix and they had all the parts in stock and arrived overnight. 

Disassembled the inside of the door and found a spring laying in the bottom. Removed the latch and found the hook that the spring hooks to was broken. After receiving the new parts. Installed the new latch and spring, reassembled the door. Plugged in the unit and all worked fine. It took me a little longer because it was my first time doing this. 

Slid the spring on and slapped it back into place. 

Remove choke cover and install a new locker and spring. Reinstall choke cover.
