How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4440713 / 6601ER1006E Water Level Pressure Switch

Called Sears repairman. Wanted $300 to fix. My husband soldered wires on thermistor. Code changed to PE error. I chatted with AppliancePro and was told we needed Switch asm pressure. I ordered a Thermistor too since it was only a few dollars. Parts came in almost next day. It didn't even take my husband 10 minutes to install both parts. Washer is up & running for under $30. I would recommend AppliancePro in a heartbeat! 

I isolated the problem to the fill solenoid valves by turning the machine on and testing for 110V at the valve connector. Voltage was present but no water flow. 2 of 4 fill valves had failed. I replaced the1 hot water and 3 cold water valves. (Cold valves are 1 assembly) That corrected the problem. The time for repair was less than an hour. 

I found that the pressure sensor was bad. But since the water valves were also right there, I went ahead and replaced the sensor as well as both water valves. Total repair time took less than 30 mins. 

Got inlet valves and pressure switch in two days. Installed easily thanks to very straightforward AppliancePartsPros videos. The long time it took is a reflection of what it took to move the washer in a very tight room so as to open it up. 

LG wm2688hwma throwing FE error. Replaced both water inlet valves and water level pressure switch. Very easy to get to the valves and pressure switch. Needed a bunch of towels to deal with the water coming out from the various inlet valve hoses. Needed a philips screwdriver for the washer lid, inlet valves and pressure switch. Needed pliers for removing the clamps on the inlet valve hoses. Needed an adjustable wrench for removing the water line hoses. Fairly straightforward and easy repair. After replacing these parts the washer is working again. 

Replaced the water level sencer. 

Replaced hot and could water valve assemblies as well as the water level pressure switch. 

The repairman installed the switch and the hose he replaced with it was worn with holes due to to the damper assemblies gone bad. Have ordered those and it will be completely fixed but it runs great now and quiet!

Did not know where to start. Your video on how to open the shell gave me the motive to start and from there it was easy to identify the problem. The parts were well-priced and went ahead and did some preemptive fixes just in case with easy-to-reach and well-priced parts. I watched other videos to see what else might go wrong for future reference and how difficult the fix might be. Really enjoyed your videos. Much better than watching reruns in TV! Lol Thanks
