How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4442090 / 6600JB1010A Refrigerator Door Switch

Replaced switch Just pop out, unplug old - plug in new and pop in. All of 5 minutes. Lot cheaper than paying repairman ???? 

Installed a new switch. 

Ordered the part and watched the video and fixed it 

I ordered a new switch from AppliancePartsPros.com and installed it. Very easy fix. 

Watched the video, ordered the part, paid ALOT in shipping BUT it arrived within 24hrs. popped the old switch out , new one in, fixed! 

I went on you tube to troubleshoot the problem. The light was coming on intermittently. Once I felt confident how to proceed. I went to "appliance parts pros.com to order the part. I had the model number ready and phoned to place my order. The woman, whose name I have forgotten was very polite and pleasant in taking my order. My wife and I were very surprised how quickly the order came to our home. The woman that took my order was correct on the date of delivery. Although it was not quite as easy as the video to extract the old switch I managed to replace it as directed on the video. I used appliance parts pros before to replace a stove switch earlier this year and received the same excellent service so I see a consistent level of excellent service. On both occasions I first went to my local appliance parts store before I ordered from your company. Both times they told me it would take 10 days to get the part. I'm not used to order things online but we're glad we did. The parts came within 3 days. In the future I know now to go directly to your web page and save myself a lot of time. Thanks again. 

Popped out the defective flipper and installed the new one. The defective flipper switch was a little difficult to pop out, but it still only took about 10 minutes. It felt great to not have to call in a professional repairman for such a simple fix. 

Ordered new switch and replaced with the new switch. Total time ... maybe two minutes. Although not sure if the light goes out when I shut the door; however, it's now on when I open the door. Part arrived in two days ... 

Replaced the switch: works fine now. 

Popped out the old switch & installed the new switch all in about 5-minutes, all in working order. Thanks to Appliance Pros.
