How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4342218 / DC97-14849A Dryer Drum Assembly

I purchased a new drum from APP and installed it myself. Shipping was really low considering the alternative suppliers. Also it came within 2 days so lost no laundry time. I did contact Samsung after reading all of the negative comments about this flaw in manufacturing and they said they weren't aware of this issue. Well if that was the case I would think this drum would not be a stock item if it never broke. And I doubt so many people would take the time to write about something that never broke. Just another excuse from the big corporation. I won't buy another Samsung appliance but I certainly always look to Appliance Parts Pros! Been using them for my dishwasher, fridge and clothes washer parts. 

Like many others who have purchased Samsung drier, my drum cracked and was making noise and of course out of warranty. After searching on the Internet I found videos on how to replace and found Appliancepartspros. Part arrived in 2 days and it took an hour to replace the drum. I kept starting and stopping the video to take apart and put back together. 300 was what the repair people wanted. Have a vacuum handy plenty of lint! I am going to get my ice maker parts as soon as I can. 

I replaced the drum rollers and the drum. I will NOTE that there was lint ALL OVER the inside of the dryer. More than you can imagine. I used a shopvac to remove all of the lint as I felt it was a fire hazard. 

Researched the web and came across your site. Which was cheaper than others that wanted to charge a fortune for shipping. Also your site provided videos on how to replace the drum. Which was very helpful. Very detailed step by step. I am a very handy person, but for someone that is not should buy from you and watch the videos you provide. Cause they should be able to do it themselves and could SAVE $$$$. Your customer service that I spoke to on the phone and chat with on the computer are very helpful and very kind. So just wanted you and anyone know that I am a very happy customer. Will be back every time a part is needed. Also would recommend you to all my friends and family. Thank you!!!

Replace the cracked drum assembly 

Got a new drum and installed via YouTube video. Had a loud squeezing sound from dryer after repair. Took it all apart again and realized I sat the belt wrong. Fixed that and the dryer works good as new. 

Installed a brand new one. The appliance parts pros video was very good and helpful. 

After watching the video that Appliance Parts Pros posted, I felt confident I could do the repair myself. I tackled it in less time than what I thought and the video was extremely detailed and helpful! 

Replaced the dryer drum assembly which took my son and me half hour to replace it as we had fun together :)
