After an internet search, I saw the problem may be a broken weld on the seam of the drum going over the rollers making the noise. It was. The dryer can't be more than 5 years old! Disassembled the dryer (really easy) and removed the cracked drum, found the culprit to the scraping noise (a hair clip that found its way through the crack), cleaned the lint from all of the parts and internals then reassembled. Started with taking the top off of the dryer, then piece by piece, i disassembled the dryer to get to the dryer drum. Even though the model I had was slightly different than the one in the video, i was able to make it work. The repair video was extremely helpful and this project was much easier than I expected.
