I tried cleaning the ribbon cable contacts as suggested, and the display worked intermittently after that. I ordered the complete touchpad assembly from appliancepartspros.com on Friday night, it was shipped by Monday morning, and I had my microwave working like new by Wednesday evening! Kristy M Swartz , MI November 21, 2014 My samsung microwave suddenly developed an "se" error code pressing the clear button sometimes restored functionality never permenantly Reading other's experience with this problem led me to order the Control Panel without the circuit board. It took all of 10 minutes to install the new unit and it worked perfectly. The plugs were all color coded to their sockets or were labeled on the board itself. Anyone with basic skills using a screwdriver could handle this repair. Just make sure the microwave is unplugged before opening it up. Online videos show you the steps to take. Read More... Tried it first. It did work for about 1 month and the issue came back and wouldn't clear. Replaced the Control Panel Assembly (transferred the circuit board). This was for sure the problem. Purchased a replacement control panel that included a new touch pad. It took about 20-30 minutes to swap out the old one. Works fine now. No longer haunted. Read More...
