How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4141349 / DA61-03230B Refrigerator French Door Hinge

Unscrewed a couple screws to allow door curtain to freely move. Then removed cover for hinge, replaced hinge, and buttoned it all back up. 

Replaced the spring and sleeve that fit in the lower French door flap hinge. The parts were delivered in two days. The online video was helpful for showing the proper orientation for the spring. It can fit in two ways but only works properly if installed correctly. The lower hinge wasn’t needing replacement, so I kept the part as a spare. I ordered the hinge because I was concerned that the hinge might crack when replacing the spring. I have found the plastics used on this model refrigerator have become brittle over time (10 years old). Plastic shelf hinges and door shelves have cracked recently. 

Easily fixed ourselves. Took about 10 minutes from start to finish because of the helpful videos you post with the part. Thank you so much!

Found a broken piece of plastic on the floor in front of the fridge. No idea what it was, but as it was the same color white as the fridge internals, I saved it. Next day noticed the left door was not closing properly. The bottom hinge on the left door's flapper was the source of the plastic debris. The hinge just clips on the door, but the part had broken. The video on the Appliance Parts Pros page for the part was invaluable! Taking the flapper off and replacing the hinge was a snap - maybe 5 minutes total. 

The parts ordered were perfect. The “How to” video was clear, easy to follow and made for a quick and easy repair. Very much appreciated. 

So, I have just a little experience with plumbing issues and tried to find a plumber (actually many attempts!) and could not find someone to work on our Samsung refrigerator. I started searching the internet and thankfully came across AppliancePartsPros. As I wasn’t sure exactly what parts I needed to fix the broken hinge on the French door I contacted Customer Service. And there was Gloria! She is absolutely one of the most helpful people I’ve ever had the pleasure to consult with. The information and images on the website are very helpful and she led me to a specific diagram of the ‘guts of the door, showing all of the parts and we figured out that two were needed; order placed. The next pleasant surprise was that instead of the order taking several business days to arrive it came the next day. Finally, I utilized the company’s video to learn how to do the repair. Many steps were required but the video was so well done, so detailed and clear, that I was successful on my first attempt. Hooray! From start to finish this was such a positive experience; I highly recommend utilizing this site. 

I replaced the broken plastic lower hinge and also put in a new spring and spring sleeve (which got damaged when the hinge broke) for $25 including shipping. This was much less expensive than calling a repairman. The video on your website was very helpful. Thanks!
