How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4318629 / DA97-05422A Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly

Replaced ice maker. New unit was plug and play. Took less that 5 minutes to replace and works like a charm. No more noise, just fresh clean ice.

Ordered a new ice maker from you and installed same. We now have ice. 

I searched the Internet looking for potential fixes and found a quick video showing how easy it was to replace the entire Ice Maker Module. I realized that replacing the module myself would be far cheaper than calling a repair service - if I could get the part. Another Internet search produced a link to AppliancePartsPros who had the part at a competitive price and lightning fast standard shipping. Fifteen minutes after the new ice maker module arrived I had it installed and we were "back in business." 

After attending the "University of YouTube", I decided to replace the ice maker in my french door Samsung refrigerator myself rather than using an appliance repairman. 

Purchased new ice maker and installed in less than 15 minutes after viewing utube video. Only needs Philip screwdriver 

Performed the diagnostic and it indicated to replace the Ice Maker. Ordered the part, received the part, and replaced the Ice Maker. Initially, I was not sure that the new unit was working as it still indicated to replace the Ice Maker; however, after a couple of hours, it was producing Ice again, and has been working great all weekend. Appliance Parts Pros was very helpful and identified the right part to replace. Thank! 

Cube tray full of water and frozen but no harvest, this told me the control board was doing its job so that means the ice maker was no good. ordered a new improved replacement unit and installed it, gave it time to work but didn't hear any noise from it. opened it up and found it full of ice and working great. this must be how it should have been from new, what ever changes they made to it are working nicely. 

Replaced ice maker unit. One Phillips head screw and one electrical plug. Slide old unit out,RF267ABWP slide new unit in, plug in wire connection and replace cover with screw. 

Found you tube which helped me to determine problem and remove part. Located replacement part at ApplianceParts and ordered very easily, received within 4 days,,, exact part. 5 minute install and it works great... I am very pleased.
