How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4146609 / DA61-02205A Ice Maker Support

I followed the step-by-step instructions applied in the AppliancePartsPros.com repair video. 

Removed the old ice maker to troubleshoot the problem and found that the pegs that held the ice maker in place were broken off both the ice maker and the frame. I got the model number off the refrigerator and looked up the parts I needed from AppliancePartsPros.com and they had them at my residence in 1.5 days. 

Ice maker support was different than the one I took out. Had to eliminate some of the plastic to get ice cube tray motor to mount. 

Follow-up instruction was easy to fix. 

Simple order to your parts lookup. A cross reference substantiated the parts and recognized the stamping on the old defective units. Correct numbers matched. Made online order to your department and with payment satisfied and shipping determined, package was received a couple days later. Thanks for the instructions vids. Very helpful. Ice maker now in operating order. 

Repair went as well as expected. Parts were correct and fit well. I am currently making ice. 

Part replaced 

Removed and replaced after watching YouTube video . I also have a mechanical background. 

Replaced Ice Maker and Support, since I broke the old one taking it out. I pull on the tab to remove assembly a bit harder than needed. Put the new one together, I couldn't get the assembly to go into the support without removing the rubber tabs on the assembly. But after that it went together like a breeze. Installed unit and it is so quiet now, the old unit was loud and could almost awake you when the ice drop. I had to keep checking it ever two hour to see it is was really working. So easy and so better that it should be a requirement to replace it every five years if you use ice daily. 

I followed your online video. This repair took no more that 10 minutes to complete
