Tj October 12, 2018 for Model Number RS2534WW/XAA (Samsung) The ice maker makes ice, but when it tries to turn over to dump the ice into the bin below, it makes fairly loud "thumping" noises as if its trying to dump the ice but the ice does not pop out. James July 24, 2016 for Model Number RS2555SL I see that, for the ice-maker, that DA61-00244, the part that connects the ice-maker to the refrigerator housing, is discontinued and that DA61-02205A is a new part for DA61-00244. For me, DA61-00244 cracked, the rest of the ice-maker works. However, with DA61-02205A being a replacement part, will I need to order the rest of the ice-maker parts so they fit the replacement part (DA61-02205A) or will the original ice-maker parts I have work with it? The samsungparts.com website states that DA61-02205A is a new part for DA61-00244B. However, when I check your compatibility tool for model RS2555SL against part DA61-02205A, it says it is not compatible. I'm confused by this conflicting information. Jerry Dallaire December 01, 2011 for Model Number RS2556SH When the ice cube tray empties, the end of the tray where it connects to the ice maker support (AP4146609)comes out not allowing the tray to return to its upright position. The end of the ice cube tray has a round fitting whereas the support hole is oval shaped. Does the support need to be replaced? I already replaced the ice maker assembly but it still happens. James November 13, 2011 for Model Number RS2533SW This is a direct replacement part for my model and does not have the prong that sticks out on the outer part of the support just in front of the screw holes. How do I get the icemaker installed in this support without this prong?
1 Answer Hi James. The support part # DA61-02205A has 2- cut outs at approx. 3' inward on the top behind the front mount screws. Slide the back single support and these 2 ice maker front locator tabs in the support at the same time. From the top view the front left tab will then lock in place under a locking tab.
