How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4342167 / DE61-00048A Microwave Key Spring

Got a new key-d. Took off the trim around the microwave door, (die not remove door) and installed the new key-d. Very simple job. U-tube has video showing, in detail, how to do this fix. 

Discovered it was the door latch and spring that had broken. Found the part with help of AppliancePartsPros -- local parts company would not/did not check if other branded part would fit my Maytag. Arrived promptly* and I easily installed the replacement part following online instructions. For what it's worth, I am a 67 yr old female. Four stars only because the spring has not been shipped. *spring key was not included in shipment, but I had saved original spring and it worked. 

Door latch replacement. Only tool needed, putty knife. Very easy

Ordered new spring. 

2 prong latch and spring built into door broke. Replaced both very easily with door still attached. parts were under $10.00. 

Replaced all door switches and door hook hinge latch, with a new spring as well. 

Ordered a new Key and spring and replaced them. 

Popped out the frame around the glass on the inside of the door; removed the broken latch; attached spring to new latch then reinstalled the new latch; popped the frame back on. 

Researched online and found a U-tube on my problem and how to fix it. Next I researched the parts I needed and found them at Appliance Parts Pro and put in the order. Parts arrived the next day, Fantastic service. Followed the tips from the U-tube and fixed the latch on the door in about 15 minutes. Thanks guys for the Fantastic service if I need parts for an appliance again I know where to come.
