How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6009896 / WP6-918873 Silverware Basket Assembly

I initially ordered the item from a local appliance store where I had purchased the dishwasher. The item I received was half a basket at a price of $42. I found the entire basket (two halves) at Appliance Parts Pros for $11. plus approximately $6 shipping and, upon ordering, I received the item in a day and a half. Needless to say, I returned the first item to the appliance dealer. (You need to amend this survey; I was not able to submit it until I indicated that I used a tool, which was not the case. I checked "Other" but that was not sufficient. Obviously, I did not need a tool to replace a silverware basket!!) 

Replaced it with new one from Appliance Parts Pros. Extremely fast delivery! Highly recommend them. 

After talking with the rep from appliance pro, she helped me verify wat I needed, everything came as we discussed. After removing the inner door the vent assembly was difficult removing, it does unplug, do not twist it off, had to replace that piece as well. Had to cut of notch on inner door for the vent assembly to reseat properly. It does twist off, just a bear to put back on. once all assembled turned the machine on and no more leaks. Saved a bundle from calling the appliance repair guy. 

We ordered a new handle from you and watched a utube video that made it simple to change, 

The initial problem was just a simple blockage on the filter screen...until I dropped a screw. So, I had to take the rest of the insides apart to retrieve it. The original impeller would not come off easily, so I tried to pry it off. Naturally, that caused the threaded portion to break. The new impeller went on much more easily than the old one came off, and the dishwasher is back in action. Simple repair; there's really not much to the inside of this thing. 

Purchased replacement parts. Came in less than two days! Great service! 

Found the parts I needed on the Appliance Parts Pros website. Went to my local appliance store with the pictures from the website, and they did not agree that the replacement rack roller was what I needed. I was to return with a picture of my Dishwasher upper rack to show them. This was a 30 mile round trip, that I was going to have to do again before the parts I needed would even be ordered. Came home, went back to Appliance Parts Pros website and ordered the 2 items I needed. They arrived 2 days later (even though I only requested regular shipping) which was before I would have even been able to make the next trip to the local appliance store. The parts worked just great. Appliance Parts Pro website was very user friendly and having pictures with each item was a big help. The Whirlpool/Maytag website did not include pictures which was very frustrating. 

Replaced dispenser, parts came quickly, installation video made change out easy. 

The new basket fits perfectly! We have an 18 year old Jennair dishwasher and I wasn't sure I could find the right part but it was extremely easy to find and to order from this website and the part came very quick!
