How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6015081 / WPW10111435 Door Bellow Seal

Fit perfect 

Ordered a door seal and watched/used the video from ApplianceParts Pros on the steps to replace it. Took about 30 minutes. Would have taken longer but I am old and working in a small laundry room. 

I replaced the old door bellow seal with a new one. I referred numerous time to an instructional video I found online showing the steps to take to make the repair. There was a considerable buildup of material that appeared to be a mixture of soap scum, dirt, oils, and mold in areas of the old door bellow seal that were not reachable until it was removed. The hardest portions of the process were installing the inner ring of the new door bellow seal onto the washer itself and installing the wire ring clamp on the front panel of the washer. 

Replaced bellow gasket 

I went over and found the leak coming from the front of the washer by the door. I ordered a new door bellow seal and replaced it. Leak was gone. Repair took maybe 1/2 an hour. 

Watched the video (several times) on how to replace the seal. Gained enough info and a bit more confidence I could do it. Ordered Seal...received it in a couple of days. Did all the dirty laundry ahead of attempt! Set computer on dryer and turned on the video about the replacement and followed their steps slowly. Took about 2+ hours as I was very deliberate...that including cleaning the space behind and under the washer. Have done 4 loads since repair and no leaks (keeping fingers crossed). Again video was spot on...a few very minor differences. Thanks David 

Very easy to repair. My wife's bathrobe got caught in it and ripped it out. Leaked all over the floor. Replacing the gasket fixed the problem. 

Replaced seal after watching videos. Bigger job than I expected but still very doable by most homeowners. 

We ordered the part and followed AppliancePartsPros.com video. The part came the next day and we were very impressed with the video. 

I replaced the Door Bellow Seal.
