Ala2840 October 22, 2022 for Model Number WFW8500SR01 After I replaced the door seal (thanks to your great video), the door has a hard time latching. I have to push it in to get the latch to secure. I assume it's because of the new seal. Do I just let it wear in, or can this be adjusted?
Richard F. September 16, 2022 for Model Number WFW8300SW04 I replaced the door bellows per the video instructions which was very helpful but after putting everything back together the washer has no power when I turn it on. Of course, I checked to make sure the outlet had power and the washer was plugged in but nothing happens when I turn it on. No lights and no clicking sound at all. Is there an interlock safety switch somewhere besides the door and the one at the bottom behind the kick panel?
1 Answer Richard, Thanks for the question!!! No other interlocks. It may be a wire that came loose during the previous work. Go back and check the connections to the main control board and the incoming power harness. Also, make sure you did not forget to plug in the user interface. If no loose connections, it would be time to get your meter out and trace power incoming through the machine. Read More...
Melvin March 12, 2019 for Model Number WFW8300SW04 I installed new bellow on front load Whirlpool Duet Sport. Now, when drum turns, it is rubbing the seal where the tab is hanging down. The original bellow did not have this tab.
1 Answer Melvin, You will want to make sure that the seal is not turned inside out. Makes sure that the seal is all the way in place. Read More...
Nick October 19, 2018 for Model Number wfw925owloo Hi there, I have a whirlpool washer. I have replaced the bellow once and it is damaged again. what are the root cause that these need replacement. IE: original replacement part from Whirpool. I have tears on the bottom near the drain holes with rubber pieces around the door area. a piece of clothing was also damaged in the process. Help pls
1 Answer Nick, Most of the time the damage comes from stuff left in the pockets of clothing, hairpins, pencils nails etc. Watch your washer in the spin cycle to make sure that it doesn't move from side to side with a possible shock absorber issue. Read More...
Margaret September 23, 2018 for Model Number FAFW3801LW3 I recently replaced the door bellow on my machine due to wearing out. Your youtube video games is a great help. Thanks. When I tested the machine, there was a burning rubber smell. The drum was rubbing against the bellow. What may cause that and is it something I can fix or do I get a service person to check it? If I can fix it how? Thanks! Look forward to hearing from you.
1 Answer Margaret, As long as the lip of the bellow was installed over the lip of the outer tub correctly then it was a successful install. Make sure there are no leaks. And the rubber smell will go away, that gasket is dry and touches the inner drum slightly. Just run a load with no clothes and the smell should go away. Read More...
Jim June 06, 2018 for Model Number WFW8300SW04 Everything I found says the correct replacement door bellows is WPW10111435, but I received the part and it is MUCH larger than the original and does not fit the drum opening. It seems to be larger by about 4 inches. Is there something I am missing/doing incorrectly? Thanks Jim
2 Answers Jim, We are showing that this is the correct part number for the bellow for your unit. We are also not showing any changes in the bellow and will want to make sure that it is not turned inside out but should work. Read More...

2 Answers Jim, The WPW10111435 / WPW10111435 Door Bellow Seal, is the correct part to order for the model number you supplied(based on the manufacturers parts and service library). You may want to check the packaging, to make sure you received the correct part and there wasn't a mis shipped part. The tub cover opening is an inch or two larger than the loading door opening, but a four inch difference ??? Did you view the attached repair video on the parts order screen ? it may help. Kin January 01, 2018 for Model Number WHIRLPOOL WFW8410SW02 After I replaced door bellow seal, I put everything together. I turned on the washer and the power light came on and everything was fine. I pushed the start button to start the washer, then the power turned off. I tried several times and it did the same. I took everything out to check the wiring and I did not find anything wrong. I got the power to the board and I can select any cycle and the LED light is on, but just when I push the start button the the power turns off and can't start the washer. Can you let me know the problem please? THANK YOU , Kin
1 Answer Kin, Remove power to the machine and remove the top panel. Check the wire harness between the CCU and the user interface, make sure the harnesses are attached and seated properly. locate the CCU, and listen closely, when you plug the power cord into the outlet, you should hear a "click" from the CCU, if not the CCU has failed. Then make a selection, and press start, you should hear the door lock activate and the door lock, if not check the lock switches and wiring. If OK, check the drain pump wiring connections and pump. Joseph May 16, 2017 for Model Number MHWE300VW13 I replaced the Door Bellow Seal as it was torn. However, it is now leaking at the bottom of the door. Seems like the seal against the door is not good. What can I do? Can you adjust the door to close tighter against the seal? should I try adjusting the seal and reapply the spring tension bar? Looks like the seal is not very flat where it touches the door as the seal is rather thick..... maybe I could hit it with a hair dryer to flatten it out?
1 Answer Joseph, You will want to try to readjust the door seal where it seats on the cabinet. You could try heating the seal a little with a hair dryer to see if that helps if the adjustment does not work. Make sure that seal is fully wrapped around the groove of the door opening. Read More...
Nicole April 19, 2017 for Model Number WFW8400TW03 My machine is leaking from behind the front counterweight. I have replaced the bellow. It appears that the leakage is at the bellow drain hole sites - somehow the water leaks outside of the drum instead of into it. I have checked the drum and weight for any issues. I have double checked to make sure I got the right bellow. I have reapplied the seal multiple times and still having leakage on the drain/spin cycle.
1 Answer Hello Nicole, The most common cause of this is the door boot has a new hole or is not completely seated properly. If this is not the cause, the front of the outer tub 280255 could have a crack or other issue causing the issue. Read More...
