How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6015081 / WPW10111435 Door Bellow Seal

Watched your video concerning this issue for this model. Ordered the needed parts from AppliancePartsPros.com which arrived in a day and a half. 

There are manuals online to help with this repair. If your mechanical at all you can do this. Parts better than original. 

Took off the front lower panel and ran the self clean without the bleach to check for water. Nothing observed by the water inlets or hoses. I saw water dripping down from the outer tub inside the washer. I ordered the bellows gasket for the tubs and front door. It arrives the next day and I watched the video on the web site several times. Took the machine apart as in the video and replaced the bellows. Put everything back together and tested it out -worked like a new machine. Had a lot of trouble getting the outer spring clamp on the gasket. It looked easy in the video but turned out my neighbor helped me because it took four hands to keep the gasket on the lip while attaching the clamp.

Watched the appliancepartpros.com repair video on youtube and ordered the part. Installed correctly and had no issues. Lessons learned: Initial mounting of the bellow seal on the inner tub can be challenging. Ran an unsharpened pencil around the inside to stretch a little bit prior to mounting. Attempted to test the washer to see if there were any leaks prior to mounting the bottom cover back on the washer. Received a E1 F6 error during spin cycle [communication lost between control panel and motor] Stopped once I did mount the bottom panel back on the washer. Apparently the vibration is higher then tolerated without the panel remounted. (Note: this test was not in the steps recommended in the video. Had I followed the video procedure, the issue would not have occurred.) 

Replaced the Door Bellow Seal using the Appliance Parts Pros YouTube Video. https://youtu.be/mKNcFjSvpAQ The Up tab on the Bellow is very helpful, but also note the Drain holes on the bottom of the Bellow are centered on the bottom of the tub and line up with the drain notch. The only deviation I made from the video was I placed the screw for the inside retaining ring down towards the 8 cook position so tightening the screw head was not impacted by the rubber dispenser hose. 

Your do-it-yourself video was very helpful. Start to finish the bellow replacement in our eleven-year-old Whirlpool front load washer took about two hours. The most difficult part of this job was fastening the outer clamp. Pulling it one way removed the seal from the lip on the opposite side. Attaching clamps to hold everything in place finally did the trick. All in all, it was a very satisfying experience and we appreciate your asking how things went. 

Changing the door seal solved the problem. 

Watched the step-by-step video and used a few common handtools to replace the door bellow seal in about 75 minutes. I’m a very happy customer. 

The video made the removal and replacement very easy.
