There are tiny plastic mounded alignment pins and tabs to hold the micro switch for ice and one for water on the control bracket that shear off causing the switches not to be in alignment for proper activation. You must use a putty knife or similar underneath the lower left and right corners of the control face while pushing down on each corner respectively to dislodge the tab holding the control trim piece on. Once this is accomplished, disconnect the electrical connection which has a small tab that must be lifted while unplugging. To remove the bracket there is a tab on each side that must be pried out. Remove the electrical connectors on the light socket by pulling them straight out. Remove the socket by squeezing tabs in and pushing out. Transfer switches and spacers to new bracket, insert light socket, attach wiring, and tape wiring harness back down. Align the control bracket into the upper slots and push it to snap into place. This is a very simple repair.
