Craig W Farmington , UT June 26, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Washer MTW6300TQ0 The washer was making a growling sound at the end of the rinse cycle especially as it prepared to spin at full speed once it was spinning constantly the noise went away I found that one of the rollers in the agitator was turned sideways and there was a lot of wobble in the agitator. I replaced the agitator with the Cam-Agit kit which helped the rattling noise. However, the growling was fixed by replacing the Hub assembly parts. The total repair time was a little over 15 minutes. The hardest part was getting the rollers to align correctly in the agitator assembly. Eric P Wellsburg , WV October 17, 2017 The agitator quit spinning I've replaced the Basket Hub about a year ago, so I didn't think that was the problem. I assumed it was the Cam Agit parts. Just as a precaution I also ordered the basket hub parts. Upon disassembly I found the plastic gears of the basket hub was worn, and not spinning the agitator. New parts and it was all good... Since I purchased the Cam Agit kit I decided to place the OEM parts. Getting the rollers into place was tricky. I turned the Agit up side down, and used liguid soap to keep the rollers in place, while I slid the agitator down over the agit. The agit will stick out of the agitator enough that you can pull it up and lock it into place.
