Jonah T Richardson , TX December 17, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW6300SW0 At high spin the washing machine tub was unbalanced and banging from side to side and then shut down I called a repair guy who came out to specifically replace the suspension rods because I read that if you push down on the tub and it bounces around, then the rods have worn out. After running the diagnostics, the repair guy tried to tell me it was because the lid was not locking correctly! After expressing concern that this makes no sense, he continued taking things apart and noticed the agitator rollers were all broken and told me this is probably causing the tub to be unbalanced. I expressed concern once again that this makes no sense and he told me he would be back later in the week and the part would cost $180! I asked if I could just buy new rollers and he said no, I would need the whole kit. I decided to just pay the $75 waste of time service visit and do it myself. The Cam-Agit kit was pretty simple except needed to put some soap to hold the rollers in the place like another suggested in the comments. I also really did not need the whole new kit, and new rollers would have sufficed. After fixing the agitator, the problem of not going into a high spin and shutting down was still present (as I had expected). I replaced the suspension rods which was incredibly easy and took less than 10 minutes, and then put the washer on drain and spin. After a few minutes, the tub was at max speed, although a light wobble, no sign of banging around and completed the spin cycle. The tub also barely moves now when I push on it with all my weight instead of bouncing all around. In hindsight, I wish I had not called the repairman and did this myself from the beginning. This would have gone in circles forever while this guy milked my wallet for replacing things probably at the same cost as a new appliance! Thanks, AppliancePartsPros.com! Craig W Farmington , UT June 26, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Washer MTW6300TQ0 The washer was making a growling sound at the end of the rinse cycle especially as it prepared to spin at full speed once it was spinning constantly the noise went away I found that one of the rollers in the agitator was turned sideways and there was a lot of wobble in the agitator. I replaced the agitator with the Cam-Agit kit which helped the rattling noise. However, the growling was fixed by replacing the Hub assembly parts. The total repair time was a little over 15 minutes. The hardest part was getting the rollers to align correctly in the agitator assembly. Eric P Wellsburg , WV October 17, 2017 The agitator quit spinning I've replaced the Basket Hub about a year ago, so I didn't think that was the problem. I assumed it was the Cam Agit parts. Just as a precaution I also ordered the basket hub parts. Upon disassembly I found the plastic gears of the basket hub was worn, and not spinning the agitator. New parts and it was all good... Since I purchased the Cam Agit kit I decided to place the OEM parts. Getting the rollers into place was tricky. I turned the Agit up side down, and used liguid soap to keep the rollers in place, while I slid the agitator down over the agit. The agit will stick out of the agitator enough that you can pull it up and lock it into place.
