How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6006022 / WP2186494B Water Filter Cap

I was able to put the cap on the filter and install it on the fridge 

Found the part and instructions on how to fix it. I was pleased with the availability of the part and the service getting it was great. I will use your website again when I need a part. 

Ordered it and got it in no time. fixed it last night. we are now drinking filtered water again! the cats are so pleased now that they have filtered water. 

Replaced cap with new one 

I was told it was a $400.00 job. Ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pros and had it fixed in 20 minutes!

I was so impressed that I ordered the parts from them without shopping around, because I previously ordered an ice bucket assembly over a month ago from another supplier and it has still not arrived. Anyway, I selected standard delivery and expected to wait a few days but the parts arrived within 24 hours! Just had to put the cap on the filter and then slide the filter w/cap in the housing. 

Replaced the cap. 

Removed what was left and removed the old cartridge. Attached the new cap and reinserted. 

Went to the site and reviewed video for how to replace. Watched the video, removed the broken parts and then ordered the new ones and replaced them. Very easy.
