Thomas H Arlington , VA October 09, 2016 Leaking refrigerator no ice or water from dispensers I had to remove a metal panel at the bottom back of the freezer as well as a couple of shelf slides in order to get at a drain pan in the back. It was frozen solid, so I stabbed at it with an ice pick until I broke through, followed up by poking a coat hanger in the drain hole to clear as much as I could, then poured a little boiling water over it to follow up. After screwing it all back together, the ice maker surprisingly was working again in less than 20 minutes. I also replaced a broken clip on the front of the fridge that was no longer holding the bottom grill properly. A screwdriver and an icepick and about half an hour of messing with it derailed the wife's plan to replace the whole unit. Read More... Katherine H Greensboro , NC December 05, 2015 Appliance: Model KSRS25FGBL03L The refridgerator door wouldn't close on its own I watched and then followed the repair videos to replace both cams at the bottom hinge of the door. The repairman in the video wore gloves. He didn't mention it, but I figured out that gloves were good for when the screws were frozen and didn't budge. The video made it seem easier than it was. Then when I was all done, the two cams didn't line up. I was puzzled as to what I could have done wrong? I was disappointed. Then within the door closing 5 times and 15 minutes of gravity, the cams fell into place. I imagine that the cams are under a bit of tension this way and maybe why they broke to begin with. But the door is working now and so all ended well enough. The project took longer than expected because under and behind the fridge was full of dust that I had to clean up. Read More...
