How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6014745 / WPW10021710 Dishwasher Touch Pad Control Panel

Ordered replacement front panel. Part # AP6014745 / WPW10021710 Install was easy and only took about 15 to 20 min. Thanks for a great replacement part. 

Called a repair person. He said the problem was the touchpad, and that he could repair it but it would be just as easy to order the part and do it on my own. Found ApplianceParts thru and internet search, and they had the exact part I needed. It was at my front door two days after I ordered it. It was an easy install, and fixed my problem. 

First time this occurred I removed Panel and reseated ribbon connector. This fixed problem for 2-3 weeks. When problem reoccurred I repeated procedure which again fixed problem but at that time I ordered a replacement panel. I eventually replaced old panel and have been using for week or so with no problems. 

I ordered what I thought was the correct panel/board online without talking to anyone at A P P and when it arrived, it was the wrong one, it was for a later model. Yeah I know...shame on me. I called A P P and spoke with Heather. Within 5 minutes she had asked me only a couple questions and had the correct part in stock, ready to send me. We have a large family and need appliances ASAP when they go down. We had to figure out the quickest way to send the item and she assured me that it would be there within three days...I received the part in less than 24 hrs. Very Cool. Thank you guys.

We had a serviceman diagnose the problem as the control panel. We ordered that part, which came within two days. The repair itself took about 45 minutes. It was an easy switch.

Advice on this site and elsewhere on the web suggested replacing the button panel. Finding the part was easy, and shipping from APP was super fast. Panel took less than 10 minutes to swap out. Works as good as new. 

Replaced the control panel. 

I ordered a new part, a console assembly that contained the panel-control and replaced it. The part was identical to part replaced. I looked at a few Youtube videos and went at it and was completed in 25 minutes. The part was shipped on the same day that I ordered it. Nice doing business with professionals.
