How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013143 / WP8546219 Control Board

Hired an appliance repairman to trouble shoot the unit and he said the magic box, (electronic brain) was the problem. He said that for a mere $370 plus an $80 service call it would be like new. Or he suggested we could buy a new dryer for a similar price. I have never repaired anything electronic but found appliance parts on line and found the magic brain for $270. The Dryer is part of a pair that are quite expensive so I thought, why not, and ordered a circuit board and it was a plug and play with the dryer functioning good as new. Appliance Parts web site was clear and easily navigated. 

I followed the instruction from the video provided by appliancepartspros.com. Easy to understand. I also like the return policy so that I am not hesitate to give it a try. 

After testing all parts usually the culprit for this problem, the control board was bad. Ordered a new one and had it in just a few days. Installation was easy and my dryer works perfectly! I considered ordering from other online sites for a little less $ but decided it was worth a little more to get the one year guarantee. I'm very happy with my purchase. 

Used troubleshoot guide inside the front panel of the dryer and found the control board to be bad. Ordered the control board and had requested for next day delivery. I was told that it would arrive the next day by 8pm and i actually got it at 1pm!! replaced part and it worked perfectly!! quick and easy ordering!! will absolutely use AppliancePartsPros again 

I watched three you tube videos about Duet Dryers and decided I needed a new control board. I ordered the part and had it within 48 hrs. I played the video and paused it each time I had to do something following it step by step. Plugged it in and it worked perfectly! I was thrilled. One appliance store told me to buy a new dryer and the other had a two week wait for a repairman so it was wonderful I could do it myself. 

After getting help from tech support and following the video instructions it was very easy!

I went to appliance parts pros.com and went on the forum i looked for someone that was having the same problem as me, I did what the pro recommend for them watched the repair video I ordered the part installed it and my dryer worked great. I fixed my icemaker on our refrigerator next It needed no parts but the forum helped me fix it. Now I am waiting for a part from APP to fix our oven before this I knew nothing about repairing appliances now I feel confident if something go's wrong I have a good chance at fixing them I really love this site thank you
