How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6023299 / WPW10594329 Damper Control Assembly

After a little bit of online research I determined that the most likely cause was the damper. I ordered it and replaced it. That fixed the issue. 

Using the online manual I found the part number. Part was delivered within 2 business days. Followed simple directions I found on youtube and took me 15 minutes to replace. 

Swapped out the old part for the new. 

Replaced "damper control assembly" 

Replaced damper control assembly. 

A little testing revealed damper was not working. Ordering was easy and arrived within a week, same with door gasket. 

Replacing the damper did the trick. It's easy to replace the part and the fridge is running cool and quiet. 

After reading the comments, it was obvious that the Damper Control Assembly needed to be replaced. Watched the video first. Then, replaced the Damper Control Assembly. Took longer to remove the items on the top 2 shelves than actually replacing the old part with the new part. The video showed that you needed to use the wiring assembly from the old Damper Control Assembly. However, the part I ordered came with a new wiring assembly. Easy fix! 

Removed and replace it in 5 minutes 

Replace the evap.fan not working and the damper motor as well and done now is working very well !!!
