Yuriy M Mountain View , CA May 15, 2015 Appliance: Model KENMORE ELITE DISHWASHER Rusty racks crumbling silverware basket obstructed discharge valve clogged mesh on the food grinder Just replaced the things. Had to reuse old tine rows, rollers, the spray arm, etc., i.e. I removed 'em from the old racks and put on the new ones, but that was piece of cake. Also, I cleaned the food grinder and the discharge valve compartment (thank you very ???? ???? much, Internet), so spray arms around the top rack get enough water pressure now. I didn't have to buy any parts for the latter part of this little repair project, though. Jon T Fairview , TX October 03, 2016 Appliance: Model 665.16269400 Dish racks were rusting Order parts and replace. When removing attachments, do them one at a time and install them on new rack as you go. Watch for the small release tabs on the attachments (baskets, rollers and tine holders), "gently" put pressure to release; remember these units have been in hot water and they are brittle. John F Montclair , NJ February 04, 2020 Appliance: Whirlpool Undercounter Dishwasher DU1100XTPB9 Top and bottom dish racks were rusting and shedding little bits of iron I bought replacement top and bottom dish racks. It is surprising they are so expensive - easily more than half the cost of a new machine. If I didn't like the layout of my existing dishwasher more than the new models, I would have bought a new one. They are relatively easy to install, but you have to transfer parts from the old dish racks to the new ones. So don't get rid of the old ones until after you install the new ones! John J West Jordan , UT December 04, 2017 Appliance: Model KENMORE 665.13113K700 Our upper and lower dishwasher rack tines were rusting out time to replace them. Lower Rack: The fix was fairly easy, only challenge (minor) was making sure the wheels were put on the lower rack correctly. We did find that the new wheels provided tended to bind in the rear when pushing the tray in, We replaced the new wheel set (rear wheels only) with the wheels from the old set and it works fine now. Hopefully no rust for several years. Upper Rack: This required a little more work in that the wheels and the center spray assembly needed to be pulled from the old unit and installed on the old. The wheel set removal required a star type screwdriver. Read More... 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Matt S Winona , MN April 22, 2022 Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDS35FXWH5 Existing upper rack was pretty rusted out after about 10 years of use Bought a new upper rack and an adjustable tine row (one pack is a pair BTW). These parts worked perfectly with the existing "snap on" parts that moved over from the old upper rack.
