How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4096820 / 74004105 Range Bake Heating Element

Followed your online directions, and it was easy. (Even for an old lady like me) 

A piece of cake. It took 15 minutes from the time I opened the circuit breaker until the job was done. The video clip was a huge help. What took so long was that the screws were difficult to unscrew. The part delivery was timely and I was able to save a lot of money Thanks a bunch!! I was unable to locate the part number, but the diagram of the part overlaid on a 1" grid enabled me to make a perfect choice.

The fix was very easy and the short video helped a lot. I did overnight shipping but the cost of the element with overnight shipping was still exceptionally less than hiring a repair man and most likely faster. The actual replacement took me less than 10 minutes and I had never done this repair before. 

Ordered new element, watched the video on how to repair. Was simplicity in its finest form. Great resource and saves money. With shipping replaced element for $30. Can't even imagine how much it would have cost to have a tech come out and do that 5 minute job. 

Watched the video and took the plunge. Saved us a bundle and I'm so glad we tried it. 

Found the part on your site and it was delivered on Wednesday (day before thanksgiving). Was able to install it in time for the big day! 

Unscrewed and unplugged old heating element. Ordered New element. Plugged and screwed new element in. Fast and easy especially with new part from Appliance Parts Pros. 

Long reach with a screw driver and the parts from you.,...a bit of patience and done..... 

I removed the old element but one of the attaching wires did not pull out of the back of the oven. The wire and connector was stuck in the insulation. Using a wire coat hanger I bent it into the shape of a hook and easily pulled the connecting wire out. The new element went in without any other problems.
