How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6018421 / WPW10276482 Oven Bake Element

Easy replacement of lower bake element and replaced oven sensor at the same time while oven was unplugged and away from the wall. Put all back together and...nothing. Additional investigation led to possible Thermal Limiter Switch. Unfortunately, Appliance Parts Pros was out of stock as was manufacturer and nearly every other supplier nationwide. Got lucky and found the last one a supplier from Dallas had and am awaiting delivery. I will be happy to up date once installed. I have used Appliance Parts Pros for several years because of its awesome pricing, very handy how to videos and available stock and because our go-to repairman for complicated repairs uses and recommends you. Replaced element 

Easy fix :my daughter did the job! 

The first thing I did was get on AppliancePartsPro website, and watched the video on replacing the bake element on my oven. That was so helpful because then I knew exactly what to expect and how to replace the element. I removed the old element and tested it for continuity with my volt meter. There was no continuity and I knew I found the problem. I ordered a new element from AppliancePartsPros and it was delivered quickly (thank you very much!). I installed the new oven bake element and now our oven works again like a charm. Thanks AppliancePartsPros. You saved me again! 

Replaced the lower bake element and temp sensor . repairs took about 90 minutes, start to finish. Your replacement parts worked Very well! 

Watched how to video on appliancepartspros.com and removed the failed element. Ordered a replacement from appliancepartspros.com and installed it with no difficulty. 

After ordering the part on AppliancePartsPros.com, I had to lift out the bottom panel of my oven. There were a few screws in the back of the oven to allow me lift out the panel. Once I had access to the baking element it was simply a matter of removing a few screws that held it in place, pulling out the wires from the back of the oven, disconnecting them and attaching them to my new baking element. Replaced all the pan head screws and cleaned the oven while I was in there. Tried it and it worked better than before. This part saved me $600 for a new oven. 

I checked the bake element and discovered it was broken. I ordered the part online on Sat.it shipped on Monday and arrived on Tues afternoon. I replaced the element and it works great. Thank you for the quick part replacement.
