How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011322 / WP7406P428-60 Lower Bake Element

Removed and replaced the oven element. Works Great Now! 

The bake element was replaced with a new one, which works beautifully. 

Replaced the lower element. The 62% estimate of oven issues was correct, so I was able to correct the problem on the first try. However, the wires were crimped onto the spade connectors at a > 45-degree angle <. So when I pulled on the element from the front to remove it, both wires came off the lugs before they came into the oven compartment. It was then necessary to move the oven out of its space and remove a rear panel to get to the wires. Moving the oven out and back in was the difficult part. The job probably would have taken 15 minutes or so if the wires hadn't come off. The additional steps necessary to access the lost wires took hours. PS. Enlarging the hole in the insulation before removing the element might have allowed the connectors and right-angle wires to pass through to the oven. A screwdriver might have been sufficient to do that. 

We replaced the Lower Bake Element with a new one and the oven works great. This is the second time I had to replace the element so it was an easy repair. The first one came from AppliancePartsPros.com. 

Simple replacement. It took longer to take it out of the box than it did to repair the oven. 

We ordered and installed a new Lower Bake Element. 

A replacement element arrived less than 48 hours after I ordered it. It was correct, fast and priced right. 

Tried lower oven with "broil" and the top element heated up while the lower element did not. searched my model number, ordered and replaced lower bake element
