How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010824 / WP74003019 Oven Bake Element

Just like your demonstration showed. 

Replaced the oven bake element. As this electric range is 20-some years old, the back panel of the range was removed to have a look at the wiring and such. The oven bake element push-on spade connectors were crimped a little to tighten their grip on the replacement oven bake element. The range top burner drip bowls were also replaced. All is well and my wife is happy! 

Found the model number on the side and went immediately to Appliance Parts Pros since they had what I needed when a washing machine board went out. Ordering was easy and they had the part to me in 2 days. 2 wires , 2 screws and flip a breaker and the oven was working again. Thanks 

I checked out a video on youtube on how to fix the element that lead me to your site and reasonably prices part. i ordered the part on Friday and got it Saturday and bake to cooking on Sunday. changing a bake element is a simple process and the video made it more simple. 

Ordered a new bake element 

I was told that I better start looking for a new stove, but I wasn't afraid to try to repair the problem myself. I went online to search for the resolution to my oven not working, and noticed that a burned out bake element was the recurring issue with other folks' ovens. So, I submitted the model and serial numbers to my stove, and was able to find the proper replacement. 

I first started to price ovens, which was painful so close to Christmas. Then I decided to check YouTube to see how hard it was going to be to fix. I found a very informative video from Appliance pros and decided that I would give it a try. They also had a link to order the exact part that I needed. The part arrived in just a few days and all it took was about ten minutes and two screws and my oven was working again. All for about $35. A lot less than buying a new oven!! This company is great and I would recommend them to everyone. Thank you! 

I watched the "how to repair" video, placed my order using the least expensive UPS method, the part shipped out Monday and arrived Wednesday morning! 

Turned off the power to the stove, unscrewed the element retaining screws, and pulled the old element out. Cleaned out the bottom of my oven while the element was out and reinstalled the new element. Works like new. Also replaced the heating element pans on the range top. Its nice to havethe pans sitting level when your cooking.
