How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010824 / WP74003019 Oven Bake Element

Simple replacement 

Replaced the oven bake element 

I ordered a new one from AppliancePartsPros. It was here in 4 days. I had my son put it in. 

I was able to order the genuine replacement part from AppliancePartsPros.com for what I think was a very reasonable price. Thanks to their video, I could see that there was NO NEED to "call the guy" to fix this. The only thing that I had to do that was NOT in the video was take off the cover for the convection fan. That was an extra 6 screws and 4 minutes of my life that I won't get back. LOL I could not have been more pleased with how easy this repair was. The part made it to me in two days paying for standard shipping. My wife is back baking cakes for school and off my back about the oven being down. Life is good. 

My husband removed old element and replaced with the new element 

I replaced it with a new one.Works fine.

Ordered the part ,it arrived a few days later. Turned off the braker to the stove removed the old element and installed the new one took two minutes 

I replaced the lower element. Tip: be sure to unplug the stove before working on it. Even though the oven was not turned on, there was still power to the element. 

Sent the board to Corecentric Solutions and they rebuilt it. I had it installed and with the new oven bake element (which wasn't bad as I had thought) the stove works perfectly. Thanks, Shirley
