How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6014067 / WP9760767 Oven Broil Element

Simple took the old one out and put the new one in 

Ordered replacement parts from you. 

Ordered the part, which arrived the next day. Very easy to replace! After turning off the power, I unscrewed the old element from the oven, gently pulled the wires out of the back holes of the oven for visibility, removed old element by simply disconnecting, then reinstalling new element by simply plugging in new element. Reattached to the oven ceiling with screws, and voila! Fixed by 40ish SuperMom!! 

Very simple replacement. Two warnings I read about first were good to know. The first, a simple basic safety reminder to those of us that get in a hurry to knock projects out - of course turn the power off to the oven before working. The second warning was to use wire ties or something similar to wrap on the wire leads that come out of the back of the oven, before disconnecting them from the old element. This keeps the leads from accidently dropping out of the holes and falling behind the oven. That would be a major problem if you have a built in oven as I do. Beyond that, the replacement took about 5 minutes, and new part works great. 

I ordered and replaced both the top element as well as the bottom element. The bottom element was work but I replaced both because of the age of the oven. 

When I started to remove the old element I discovered it was simply disconnected on one side and the wire had fell behind the wall of the oven. I removed the wall oven and discovered the blade connector had broken so I replaced the blade connector and since I already had the new broiler element I connected it together and replaced the oven. Turned the breaker back on and the new broiler element works great. Thanks for the VERY PROMPT shipping and delivery of the new element.
