How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013578 / WP866375 Bake Element (Lower Oven)

Wire on one side became disconnected. Had to pull the oven out and reconnect it. 

I bought a new part from you and my husband fixed it

I ordered a new one from Appliance Parts Pros. Part arrived in 2 days and it was easy to install. 

I order a replacement , and replace it. 

We replaced the bake element which we ordered from you but unfortunately the mounting screws had to be replaced as well so I had to order new screws but other than that the repair went well. 

I ordered a new heating element it came in 3 days we installed it and turned the Oven on and it works great. I'm so glad because I use it all the time To bake and cook .. 

Used 1/4 socket to remove old heating element. Used lube to unplug spade type connectors x 2. Installed new bake element. Amazing they had parts diagram down to the sub model number as well as part in stock for a 30 yr old oven. Cheapest 27" oven is over $800 for anything decent. Thank u. 

1) watch video on ApplicancePartsPros.com 2) order part, receive and unpack part 3) flip breaker switch off 4) unscrew and remove old bake element being careful to not loose wires in the wall 5) inspect wires for corrosion or damage (none) 6) connect new bake element and screw into back of oven 7) flip breaker switch on 8) turn oven on 9) cook celebratory meal 8-o 

The oven is 35 years old. I was amazed that we found the part. And, it arrived in one day! Talk about service! My husband fixed it, it would have taken him less time if he had held on to the wire when he unhooked the old element instead of letting it pull back into the wall. Then he had to go get a different tool to fish the wire out. But its fixed and my oven works again. I think for a younger person, it would have been a much quicker repair. At 70, and overweight, it was hard for him to get down on the floor, and into the oven.
