How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6006227 / WP22001650 Spring Fastener (Retaining Clip)

Once again, AppliancePartsPros saved the day. I have been buying parts from them for a few years now. Always satisfied. The parts come quickly, fit perfectly and work great. This particular repair took about as much time to install the part as it did to open the plastic bag 

I followed the excellent video demonstrating how to replace the fasteners. Although this sounds simple I would have struggled to put them in place without a visual demonstration. 

All three of the dampers had become dislodged. I watched the APP video on the procedure and determined it would be something I could do. However, I did have to watch a competitors video to hear clearly (the APP tech had a heavy accent) the measurements for placement of the pads. I also will slay the other video had a helpful tip that the APP video did not. I purchased the hi-temp glue (Maycor) from APP and did have some problem getting on my finger then on the pad, goof-off on a paper towel removed most of it. I reassembled and the washer and it now acts as a standby for items need a high volume of water that our new near waterless and worthless washer will not operate with. Special shout out to order taker Katie, who had to take extra steps to modify my order to include a couple of front panel clips that I had forgot to order. 

I took the dryer apart, found the problem and ordered parts from appliancepartspros.com and they were the exact parts at a good price. Fixed dryer for my friend.
